JCB Drama Club to present ‘Matilda the Musical’ March 6-8
The John C. Birdlebough High School Drama Club is gearing up for its spring performance of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda the Musical,” which will have a three-day run in early March.
Inspired by the twisted genius of Dahl, the Tony Award-winning show is the captivating masterpiece from the Royal Shakespeare Company that revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. 
“This show is packed with high-energy dance numbers, catchy songs and an unforgettable plot,” said JCB Drama Club co-advisor and producer Lisa Spereno. “Our students have been working hard during rehearsals, and the audience is in store for an amazing performance!”
Shows are set for 4 p.m. March 6; 7:30 p.m. March 7; and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 8 in the JCB Auditorium. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for senior citizens and children. Purchase tickets in advance by emailing lspereno@phoenixcsd.org or visiting https://cur8.com/15362/project/128584.
